Claire has the most impressive CV of any French or European longboarder. Sixtimes European Longboard Champion between 2003 and 2008, Claire Karabatsos is without doubt a serious contender for the title of World Champion. Especially as the Basque Coast is her playground, and Claire has been surfing there since she was a small girl. Introduced to bodyboarding by her father, she fi rst stepped onto a longboard at the age of 11. With a master's degree in biology, Claire has for some years been a committed supported of the Surfrider Foundation, of which she is Vice-President. The association works to protect marine and coastal environments and fi ghts tirelessly to combat ocean pollution.
